The CPR Electrical team has recently completed the installation and commissioning of the Metroll ASC Super Mill roll former. This project was done in close collaboration with Metroll Management and American manufacturers ASC to ensure everything was delivered on time.
Project Overview
The Super Mill Roll Former, one of the first of its kind in Australia, significantly boosts the production of purlins. Spanning an impressive 60 metres and using a deep 4-metre ‘Loop Pit,’ this innovative design automatically stacks and flips the purlins for strapping, enhancing Metroll’s efficiency. The Super Mill requires a 460-amp power supply and was shipped from the US in six sea containers.
Scope of Work
- Installation and Commissioning: The team successfully installed and commissioned the Super Mill Roll Former with precision and efficiency. This included integrating the machinery’s unique stacking and flipping capabilities.
- Power Supply Setup: Managed the setup of the 460-amp power supply essential for the Super Mill’s operation, ensuring stable and reliable power delivery.
- Collaboration with Experts: Completed the project with the help of Metroll’s mechanical fitters and ASC’s programmers, highlighting the importance of teamwork for seamless execution.
